Lucas Woodgeard began teaching at YAMS in 2009. Born in Macon, GA, he comes from a very musical family and has been playing & performing guitar for over 15 years.

Lucas performs regularly for Christ Chapel Warner Robins church and special occasions. He has played in bands such as the 80's cover band Echospeed as well as his own band for 14 years.

He studied classical guitar performance under John Sutherland at Georgia State Univerity in Atlanta in 1998. Lucas has developed his own teaching charts and mp3s for his students to use, and works with several lesson books as well.

He is also owner and Pro Tools producer/engineer of Rock Spilt Love
recording studio in Macon.

Lucas says, "I am well versed in music theory, picking technique, scales, ALL major and minor and popular jazz chords, Nashville number system, Arpeggios, String skipping, harmonics, finger tapping, economy of motion (fingering only), muting, sight reading (both tab and real sheet music), theory, improvising and songwriting."
