John Huey began teaching guitar at YAMS in the Summer of 2007. He has taught Guitar (both acoustic and electric), and Bass for over a decade.

He also has professional experience as a drummer, having traveled with a Christian music group . He has been a worship leader for 4 churches in 3 states, and as a singer/songwriter has soloed at retreats and teen & family gatherings.

John likes playing around with recording, enjoys playing electric blues, and his fingerstyle work has been compared to James Taylor and John Denver.
